The name Baimudan translates to "White Peony" in English and is given to this tea because the leaves resemble a blossoming peony as they open up when steeping. Baimudan is slightly oxidized and gently processed to preserve the quality of the leaf shoots and leaves. Brewing Instructions

Add a small amount of 160°-175°F or just below boiling water to one heaping teaspoon of tea leaves to "wake up" the tea for 5 seconds, pour it off, then add 1c water to the wet tea leaves and steep 10-15 seconds for the 1st brew, add 8-10 seconds more for each additional brew. This tea can be resteeped 2-3 times.
